The concluding performance of Jamillah James' AUX Curatorial Fellowship includes new dance performances by New York-based choreographer and dancer niv Acosta, and Philadelphia-based choreographer, dancer, and 2012 Pew Fellow Jumatatu Poe. Both artists use movement to both deconstruct and re-articulate modes of embodiment, representation, and identification.

Jamillah James is a New York-based curator who succeeds Marissa Perel, AUX's fall 2013 Curatorial Fellow. Over the course of two weekends in May, and two in June, James will present a series of performances and events, in conjunction with her fellowship.

The AUX Curatorial Fellowships have been supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
