For the second event in the seven-part series organized by AUX's fifth Curatorial Fellow, Katya Grokhovsky, AUX presents filmmaker and visual artist Barbara Hammer for an evening of film and conversation. Hammer will screen Diving Women of Jeju-do (2007, 30 mins) and Maya Deren's Sink (2011, 30 mins). Kate Kraczon (Assistant Curator, Institute of Contemporary Art) will lead a discussion and Q&A with Hammer.

Katya Grokhovsky is a New York-based artist, curator, and organizer, invested in the exploration of multidisciplinary and multimedia practices that cross generations, genders, and geography. She holds an MFA in Studio from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a BFA from Victorian College of the Arts (Australia), and a BA in Fashion from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Australia).

The AUX Curatorial Fellowships, run by Vox Populi Gallery, have been supported by a grant from The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
