Philadelphia Museum of Art

Two musicians interpret the Art Museum's first acquisition in honor of Anne d'Harnoncourt.

Free after Museum admission

The legacy of late Museum director Anne d'Harnoncourt is celebrated across two Art After 5 events. World-renowned and critically acclaimed saxophonist-composers Joe Lovano (performing May 20) and Chris Potter (performing May 27) will premiere new compositions on separate nights, both inspired by Ellsworth Kelly's *Seine *(1951). An important acquisition in the Museum's modern and contemporary art collection, Seine was the first work obtained through the Anne d'Harnoncourt Fund for Art Acquisitions.

This program, including commissioning and presentation, has been supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage through the Philadelphia Music Project.
