Obie award-winning playwright Ain Gordon's play 217 Boxes of Dr. Henry Anonymous travels to UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance, October 11-12. Created during a Center-supported residency with the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, 217 Boxes profiles Dr. John Fryer, known as "Dr. Anonymous," one of the pioneers of the LGBT rights movement.

217 Boxes premiered on May 5, 2016, at the Painted Bride Art Center in Philadelphia and previously traveled to the Baryshnikov Arts Center.
