Fleisher Art Memorial partners with Modero Dance to present the world premiere of Di Hati-Ku (From the Heart), an original theater piece that follows a first-generation Indonesian immigrant and her granddaughter on a fantastical imaginary journey to the homeland.
Written and directed by Sinta Penyami Storms with Detty Kastubi Aziz and featuring original music by rapper Saykoji and hip-hop group Profound Music, the show features a cast made up of members of Philadelphia’s Indonesian immigrant community as well as visiting artists from Indonesia.
360 Culture Lab is a multicultural arts incubator hosted by Fleisher Art Memorial working in collaboration with dance groups Casa de Venezuela and Modero Dance as they co-produce community-focused programs and exhibitions celebrating Venezuelan and Indonesian cultural life and traditions in South Philadelphia.
